A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen within Fare Collection, Scheidt & Bachmann UK Ltd, for a Field Service Engineer to join our Field Service Team. We are looking for a candidate based within the following postcode areas: CB9, CM0–CM3, CM7–CM9, CM13–CM15, CO1–CO16.
This role would suit a technically capable and customer-focused engineer who enjoys working independently, resolving issues on site and delivering a professional service to customers. The successful candidate will support Scheidt & Bachmann hardware and software solutions through installation, commissioning, technical upgrades, break-fix support and preventative maintenance activities.
Working closely with customers, internal teams and other stakeholders, the Field Service Engineer will help ensure that equipment is maintained to the required standard, documentation is completed accurately and on time, and all work is carried out safely, professionally and in line with company procedures.
Key responsibilities
About you
We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate relevant technical capability, a strong customer service approach, good attention to detail and a commitment to safe, reliable and professional service delivery. Experience in field service, electro-mechanical engineering, ticketing, fare collection or similar technical environments would be advantageous. Candidates must hold a full, clean UK driving licence and have suitable experience driving a caddy van or similar light commercial vehicle.
